Recreation Attendant - Gawler Sport & Community Centre

About the role

The Town of Gawler is looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on person to join its team as a Recreation Attendant at the Gawler Sport & Community Centre. This is a year-round, temporary full-time position within a dynamic team supporting indoor programs focused on roller skating, community centre operations and skating birthday parties. Roller skating experience is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of customer service and help create a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons.
• Keep equipment and facilities clean, safe and well maintained.
• Understand and enforce centre policies, safety procedures and WHS requirements.
• Act as Skate Marshall for public roller skating sessions, including skating birthday parties.
• Prepare and serve food or beverages according to health and safety standards.
• Support the day-to-day running of programs and facility operations.

Required profile

• Working With Children Check.
• Child Safe Environment / RRHAN-EC.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Roller skating experience is highly desirable.
