Recovery Worker - Community Living Support (CLS)

About the role

Wellways is recruiting a Recovery Worker for its Community Living Support (CLS) service in Wollongong. CLS is a NSW Government-funded initiative that gives tailored, person-led psychosocial support to people aged 16 and over with severe mental health challenges, within a recovery-oriented framework. As a Recovery Worker you will walk alongside participants, helping them build confidence, self-management skills and community connections.

Key responsibilities

• Support participants to develop and work towards their recovery goals and aspirations
• Provide practical, strengths-based support that promotes independence and wellbeing
• Foster connections with families, communities and natural support networks
• Complete recovery plans, assessments, file notes and program documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated support
• Travel across the region to meet participant needs

Required profile

• Passion for supporting people with mental health challenges and commitment to person-led, recovery-focused practice
• Completion of Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Peer Work or Certificate IV in Community Services, or active enrolment in one of these
• 100 points of identification and evidence of right to work in Australia
• Drivers licence, National Police Check, Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Workers Screening Check
• NDIS Workers Orientation Modules (free online course)

What we offer

• SCHADS Level 3 pay of $38.65 per hour, plus salary packaging and leave loading
• Salary packaging up to $15,899 and meal and entertainment allowance up to $2,650 per year
• 17.5% leave loading and paid parental leave after 12 months
