Radiology Nurse

About the role

Mackay Radiology, part of South Coast Radiology within the Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Group, is recruiting a Radiology Nurse. Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, you will provide care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures while supporting patients, technical staff and Radiologists. The role suits a Registered Nurse with current APHRA registration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care and service to patients, technical staff and Radiologists
• Ensure workplace health and safety practices are understood and observed
• Admit, monitor and recover patients undergoing interventional procedures such as biopsies, vascular access devices, pain management, stents and drainages, across ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine
• Insert PICC lines (training provided)
• Deliver sound post-procedure care, recovery and discharge

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current APHRA registration
• Experience responding effectively in emergencies and solving problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
• Previous surgical or radiology experience beneficial

Preferred skills

• IV cannulation experience
• Advanced Life Support (not essential)
