Quality Technician

About the role

The Quality Technician (also known as QC Inspector) ensures that all incoming and in‑process goods meet TechnipFMC’s quality standards and customer requirements. Working on both company and supplier sites, you will release items only after formal verification and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute quality control activities for goods at TechnipFMC and supplier premises.
• Verify that tools, techniques, and procedures comply with API, ISO and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, suppliers and customers to implement verification plans (e.g., ITPs).
• Initiate Quality and Service Notifications or NCRs for any non‑conformities.
• Support Field Non‑Conformance Reports by investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Track, monitor and report quality performance of internal and external suppliers.
• Maintain calibration of measuring and test equipment and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Assist in internal and external audits and act as a subject‑matter expert for quality queries.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of project quality management/control experience in Oil & Gas or similar industry.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma (advantageous).
• Strong ability to review documentation and interpret complex engineering and welding drawings.

Required skills

• Knowledge of API and ISO standards.
• Proficiency with inspection and dimensional measurement instruments.
• Experience in calibration of measuring and test equipment.
• Expertise in documentation review processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology (advantageous).
