Quality & Safety Specialist (QMS & WHS)

About the role

The Comfort Group is seeking a Quality & Safety Specialist to support its ISO 13485‑certified Quality Management System and Workplace Health, Safety & Environment programmes across Australian sites. This hands‑on role works closely with the Group Safety Manager and site leaders to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain the ISO 13485‑certified QMS.
• Coordinate internal audits, site assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage document control processes for quality and safety systems.
• Oversee occupational hygiene programmes (noise, chemical exposure, isocyanates).
• Coordinate health surveillance programmes (audiometry, medicals).
• Support incident investigations and track corrective actions.
• Partner with site leaders to strengthen risk‑management practices.
• Provide practical, timely advice on quality, safety, health and environmental matters.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of quality and safety systems.
• Ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Experience with ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.
• Strong document‑control and audit experience.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and environmental requirements.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach.
