Quality Engineering Manager

About the role

As the Quality Engineering Manager at AP+, you will lead the people, practices and direction that help teams deliver reliable, high‑quality payment experiences. You will shape the Quality Engineering strategy, grow engineering capability and stay close to delivery, providing hands‑on support where needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers, fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
• Set and drive AP+’s Quality Engineering strategy, aligning testing approaches with product objectives and business priorities.
• Oversee design, execution and analysis of testing across levels and types, ensuring clear results for delivery teams.
• Advance test automation and AI‑enabled coding to improve delivery speed and coverage while maintaining quality.
• Partner with engineering, product and operations to embed functional, non‑functional and security quality practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Evaluate and improve testing tools, frameworks and ways of working, staying hands‑on to support test execution.

Required profile

• 10+ years’ experience as a Senior or Lead Quality Engineer or equivalent.
• Proven track record of leading, coaching and developing technical teams.
• Demonstrated end‑to‑end delivery experience in an agile organisation.
• Experience shaping testing strategies using risk‑based approaches.
• Ability to work across engineering, product and operations, communicating quality risks clearly.
