QC Site Inspector

About the role

PPS Water Group is seeking an experienced QC Site Inspector to support mining construction and operations activities across Western Australia. You will act as the frontline quality assurance presence on‑site, ensuring all works comply with project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily QC inspections of HDPE, civil, and SMP works in line with approved ITPs.
• Maintain accurate weld traceability records for all HDPE welding activities, including butt fusion and electro‑fusion joints.
• Prepare and submit daily inspection reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action requests (CARs) promptly.
• Oversee receipt, inspection and control of materials, verifying against material take‑offs, purchase orders, certificates of conformance and test records.
• Ensure all quality activities are performed safely and in accordance with site HSSE plans.
• Liaise with construction supervisors, engineers and client representatives on quality matters, communicating outcomes clearly.

Required profile

• Background in HDPE welding, civil works and/or structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) works, preferably within the mining sector.
• Working knowledge of quality control processes, on‑site inspection methodologies and ITPs.
• Experience managing HDPE weld traceability, weld registers, welder qualifications and machine calibration records.
• Proven ability to conduct material receipt inspections and verify test records and certificates of conformance.
