QC Assistant – Coffee Quality Control

About the role

The QC Assistant supports Sucafina's coffee quality operations in Australia, ensuring that all coffee shipments meet the company's high standards. This role involves hands‑on sample handling, cupping, and record‑keeping in a fast‑paced trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse offers, pre‑shipment and shipment samples, and arrivals across commercial to specialty segments.
• Prepare and dispatch coffee samples to customers and maintain accurate records in the system.
• Conduct cupping sessions following SCA protocols and perform physical measurements such as screen size and moisture content.
• Authorize product release based on cupping results and keep cupping areas, dishwashing facilities, and sample rooms clean and organized.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in coffee cupping, sensory evaluation, tasting, and quality assessment.
• Experience in coffee quality control, roasting, hospitality, food & beverage, or laboratory testing is preferred.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia and good written and spoken English.
