QA Analyst Intern

About the role

An internship is available for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Analyst Intern to gain practical experience in software quality assurance, application testing and defect identification. The intern works alongside experienced IT professionals to help ensure software applications, systems and digital products meet quality standards and user requirements. It suits students, recent graduates and aspiring IT professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with manual testing of software applications, websites and digital platforms.
• Develop and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document and report software bugs, defects and inconsistencies.
• Conduct functional, regression, usability and basic compatibility testing.
• Work with developers and project teams to investigate issues and verify fixes.
• Maintain test documentation, defect logs and quality assurance reports.
• Take part in testing cycles and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system functionality.
• Learn and apply industry-standard QA methodologies, tools and testing practices.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Good analytical, organisational and critical-thinking skills.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and software testing principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with test case creation, bug reporting or testing tools is advantageous.
• Exposure to Jira, Selenium, Postman or similar tools is beneficial but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs or automation testing is an advantage.
