Purchasing & Operations Coordinator

About the role

As a Purchasing & Operations Coordinator in Canon’s Product Planning team, you will ensure the right products are available at the right time across Oceania. The role blends procurement, demand forecasting and inventory optimisation to support business performance and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for assigned product portfolios.
• Forecast demand and raise purchase orders based on sales trends and stock targets.
• Maintain product data integrity within ERP systems.
• Minimise back‑orders and provide accurate supply timelines to stakeholders.
• Produce inventory and performance reports to inform business decisions.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and global suppliers.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across procurement and inventory processes.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
• Commercially minded with strong accountability and collaborative problem‑solving skills.
• Able to analyse data, make recommendations and balance competing priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365).
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Knowledge of Salesforce (desirable).
