Publicist – PR & Influencer Specialist

About the role

SHA is seeking a full‑time Publicist to join its Sydney office. Reporting to the Group Publicity Director, you will support the development and execution of publicity strategies for a diverse client portfolio, focusing on media, influencer, and event‑driven campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the PR team to design and implement client‑specific PR strategies that meet KPIs.
• Build and maintain relationships with Australian media outlets and pitch stories to secure coverage.
• Create press materials such as releases, media matrices, briefing documents and press kits.
• Identify, engage and manage relationships with relevant influencers and key opinion leaders.
• Plan and execute influencer campaigns across social platforms, ensuring adherence to briefs and budgets.
• Coordinate events under the guidance of the Group Publicity Director, managing budgets and timelines.
• Lead client WIP meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and ensure clear communication.
• Supervise the PR Assistant, delegating tasks and reviewing coverage and campaign reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in PR or communications within Australia.
• Deep understanding of the Australian media and influencer landscape.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Drive.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CANVA for creative assets.
