Property & Construction Lawyer (1-5 yrs PQE)

About the role

Mills Oakley is seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 1‑5 years post‑qualification experience to join its Adelaide Property and Projects & Construction team. You will work directly with Annoushka Scharnberg, a nationally recognised partner, on landmark residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments from acquisition through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on property acquisitions, disposals and development structuring.
• Draft and negotiate development agreements, construction contracts, infrastructure agreements and leases.
• Manage planning, zoning, approvals and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct due diligence and risk analysis for development sites.
• Provide strategic legal input to support project delivery and commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years’ experience in property law; exposure to development projects is preferred.
• Excellent drafting, attention to detail, negotiation and communication skills.
• Collaborative, proactive and eager to grow in a fast‑paced environment.
