Project Manager - Transmission & Underground Reticulation

About the role

Talesca is recruiting a Project Manager for a major wind farm development in North Queensland, working with a specialist electrical infrastructure EPC contractor. The role focuses on the overhead transmission and underground reticulation packages, from pre-construction planning through delivery, commissioning and handover. It reports to the Project Director and starts in Brisbane before moving to a site roster.

Key responsibilities

• Own the programme, budget, resources and delivery milestones for the transmission and underground reticulation packages.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction planning and mobilisation so designs, materials and work fronts are ready for delivery.
• Lead project teams and subcontractors, setting clear expectations for safety, quality and performance.
• Manage commercial outcomes, including variations, subcontractor performance, delivery risks and reporting.
• Work with the client and wider project team to manage interfaces, resolve issues and oversee commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Project management experience delivering overhead transmission lines and/or underground HV/MV reticulation, with a strong understanding of the interfaces between these works.
• A background with an EPC, electrical infrastructure or high-voltage construction contractor.
• Experience managing electrical infrastructure packages through planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong commercial awareness, confident managing budgets, contracts, variations and subcontractors.
• Willingness to start from Brisbane and then move to a North Queensland site roster.
