Nightworks Supervisor – Electrical and Civil Works

About the role

Brisbane City Council's Infrastructure Services branch, within Construction, is recruiting a Nightworks Supervisor to lead teams delivering critical electrical and civil works across Brisbane at night. The role provides on-site leadership, technical guidance and hands-on operational support so each shift is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards. It is a highly autonomous, predominantly field-based position based at the Regional Operations Centre in Eagle and various locations around Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nightworks crews delivering electrical and civil works
• Coordinate people, plant and equipment across each shift
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, risks and delivery timeframes
• Provide technical and safety guidance and manage emergency responses
• Audit completed works and ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading electrical and civil teams in a field-based environment
• Ability to work autonomously and give clear direction during night shifts
• Experience planning works and managing resources, risks, costs and competing priorities
• Sound knowledge of traffic signals, electrical safety and traffic management requirements
• Strong problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills focused on safe, quality outcomes
• Mandatory Electrical Workers Licence and a valid current C class driver licence
• The role may require a criminal history check or a pre-employment medical assessment
