Project Manager - Tier 1 Construction

A prominent Tier 1 construction business operating across Australia is recruiting an experienced Project Manager for Adelaide. The role leads a major project with a high-profile delivery team, covering complex builds within a diverse national portfolio. The business delivers large-scale commercial, defence, residential, healthcare, aged care and public infrastructure projects, and offers long-term career development.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the project lifecycle, overseeing delivery from mobilisation to practical completion and meeting milestones and performance targets.
• Set up project schedules, budgets, procurement plans and construction methodologies.
• Monitor financial performance, including cost reporting, cash flow, variations, forecasting and commercial risk.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Anticipate delivery challenges and implement strategies to minimise risk.
• Maintain compliance with contracts, legislation, quality requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior management to review project performance and resolve challenges.

Required profile

• Degree or tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing major commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
• Proactive leadership style, sound technical knowledge and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to develop, motivate and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commercial mindset and excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
