Project Manager – Planning (Restaurant Development)

About the role

As a Project Manager (Planning) you will lead the Development Application (DA) phase for new McDonald’s restaurant sites across Queensland. You will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely approvals and support the company’s aggressive growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and accelerate the DA phase of the restaurant pipeline.
• Coordinate key consultants including legal, town planning, acoustic, engineering and architectural.
• Maintain relationships with council, attend and present at council/panel meetings.
• Secure council approvals for portfolio reinvestments.
• Review application packages before lodgement and provide design/planning feedback.
• Gather information and advise on planning issues for proposed, existing or leased sites.
• Report development progress and milestones to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Town Planning.
• Minimum 5 years experience managing development applications.
• Exposure to the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
