Project Manager

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex projects within a dynamic enterprise environment. The role focuses on delivering successful outcomes through people leadership, structured governance, strong customer engagement, and sound commercial and financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day project delivery, coordinating resources and facilitating project and financial meetings.
• Guide a team of skilled technical members, promoting collaboration, accountability and alignment with Leidos processes.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, managing expectations around resources, support and commercial obligations.
• Manage contract activities including scope tracking, change requests, renewals and internal approvals.
• Oversee financial management and governance, tracking budgets, forecasting, billing inputs and reporting variances.
• Maintain project artefacts such as resource plans, staffing trackers, financial registers and governance documentation.
• Identify and escalate people, commercial, financial and coordination risks early, supporting practical resolution.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in project management within complex environments.
• Proven ability to lead and support technical teams with a focus on people management and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with a collaborative, inclusive approach.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail in project planning and delivery.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical and structured problem‑solving capabilities.
• Australian citizenship and a Baseline level security clearance.
