Project Manager

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex substation and grid infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will work with industry‑leading technologies and help drive the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project execution from planning through final delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, cash flow, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Drive project governance, contract management, and claims resolution.
• Champion a strong safety culture and guide project teams to successful outcomes.
• Ensure projects meet financial, contractual, quality, and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure, electrical, or substation projects.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6.
• Passion for safety, collaboration, and customer success.
