Project Manager – Infrastructure (Defence)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects for its Defence and Security business in Albury. You will join the Project Delivery Service team, supporting the Estate Works Program under a ten‑year contract, and work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver high‑impact projects from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects through all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement.
• Oversee project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Bureau Veritas standards.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, focusing on risk management and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout.
• Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Proven experience managing construction projects, preferably within Defence or Government sectors.
• Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
