Project Manager GSP

About the role

APA, Australia's energy infrastructure partner, is looking for a Project Manager to join its Grid Solutions Program (GSP) team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a 2-year fixed-term basis. Reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple workstreams within one of APA's major business and technology transformation programs, ensuring milestones are met, dependencies are managed and teams stay focused on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery across multiple GSP value streams, keeping milestones, dependencies and deliverables on time and to the required quality standards.
• Drive delivery from requirements clarification through design, build and system testing, keeping risks, issues and critical path activities visible.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources, balancing priorities, capacity and competing demands.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams and external delivery partners to ensure alignment and timely decisions.
• Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and blockers, with clear recommendations and recovery actions where needed.
• Maintain governance artefacts, delivery plans and status reporting, so scope changes and their impacts are understood and managed.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex technology, digital transformation or enterprise system implementation projects in large organisations.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams or project streams concurrently within a broader program.
• Strong stakeholder management, able to influence and collaborate across business, technology, delivery partners and vendors.
• Experience managing requirements, dependencies, delivery risks, testing activities and implementation readiness.
• Structured, organised and pragmatic, able to handle ambiguity, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure or other highly regulated industries is highly regarded.
• Eligible to work in Australia; the role involves critical data, systems or infrastructure and requires background vetting, including police checks.
