Project Manager – Government Data & Analytics Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead government and social sector projects in Melbourne. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end planning, execution, monitoring and closure of data and analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage full project lifecycle for government/social sector initiatives.
• Develop implementation plans, timelines, milestones and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate with government departments, stakeholders, project teams and implementation partners.
• Maintain project plans and resource schedules for data and analytics projects.
• Oversee data collection, analysis and visualization to support decision‑making.
• Prepare and review project reports, presentations, status updates and documentation for senior management.
• Identify risks, challenges and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, preferably on government projects or PMU operations.
• Relevant project‑management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
• Experience managing large‑scale projects in trading environments such as banking or utilities.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead teams under pressure.
