Project Manager - Excavator and Truck Fleet Maintenance

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is looking for a Project Manager to oversee the operational performance of the excavator and truck fleets at the Tarrawonga and Vickery mine sites. The role works closely with the client to ensure effective management and maintenance, reporting to the After Sales and Major Projects Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance and warranty tasks in line with project schedules and budgets
• Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety, budget and specifications
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligned with Hitachi specifications
• Oversee Gunnedah tradesmen and handle project administration in accordance with HCA standards

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualifications and proven supervisory/project management experience
• Strong background in managing mobile equipment projects within the mining industry
• Track record in safety and quality assurance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Interpersonal, time management, negotiation and influencing skills
• Project management and fleet maintenance coordination
