Project Manager - Electrical Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Ventia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical infrastructure and capital works projects under its Asset Lifecycle Delivery Services (ALDS) program, working in partnership with the City of Gold Coast. The role covers multiple project work packages from planning and estimating through to execution and close-out, with a particular focus on brownfield electrical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical work packages and projects simultaneously
• Lead project planning, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Manage brownfield electrical projects: switchboard upgrades and replacements, electrical renewal and upgrade works, and brownfield installation and construction in operational environments
• Coordinate electrical contractors, commissioning activities and stakeholder interfaces
• Manage subcontractors and delivery partners throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive performance on safety, quality, cost and schedule
• Mentor and support Project Engineers and Supervisors
• Identify and manage project risks and implement practical solutions

Required profile

• Proven project leader with strong electrical project delivery experience
• Ideally demonstrated experience delivering electrical capital works and managing brownfield electrical infrastructure upgrades and renewals
• Experience managing subcontractors and delivery partners
• Certificate IV in Project Management or higher (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure or related industries is highly regarded
