Project Manager - Data Centre HVAC

About the role

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls company, is a global leader in hyperscale data centre cooling and mission-critical infrastructure. It is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex HVAC and mission-critical infrastructure projects in the data centre sector, from contract award through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, factory testing, installation, commissioning and handover. About half the time is spent on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AHU, FWU, CDU, CRAC and Modular Data Centre solutions
• Develop and run project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource strategies
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project controls, document controllers, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk and customer satisfaction
• Own project financial performance, including P&L, forecasting, cash flow and change management
• Act as main contact for customers, consultants and general contractors
• Identify risks early and ensure compliance with contracts, safety and quality requirements
• Lead commissioning, close-out and handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience delivering complex HVAC, mechanical or building services projects
• Experience in data centres, healthcare, commercial, industrial, mission-critical or large infrastructure environments
• Ability to lead large teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen on budgets, forecasting and contracts
• Fluent written and spoken English; PMP or equivalent certification highly regarded
• Current Australian work rights
