Project Manager – Commercial Fitout

About the role

Unita is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial fit‑out projects across Australia, from award through to handover. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to keep projects moving safely, on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of commercial fit‑out projects from pre‑start through to handover.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, variations and overall commercial performance.
• Identify risks early, develop practical solutions and keep programmes on track.
• Collaborate closely with Site Managers and Contracts Administrators to ensure quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with WHSEQ standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clear communication so all stakeholders understand project status and next steps.
• Deliver projects that clients are proud of and teams enjoy working on.

Required profile

• Accountable and able to own outcomes from start to finish.
• Commercially aware with an understanding of how delivery decisions affect margin.
• Calm under pressure and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills and a knack for bringing order to complexity.
