Project Manager – Commercial Fit-Out/Refurb

About the role

Join a leading mid‑tier national construction company delivering high‑specification commercial office fit‑out and refurbishment projects up to $30m+. As a Project Manager you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality and profitability while exceeding client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, budget, schedule and resource allocation.
• Track progress, monitor milestones and enforce quality standards throughout construction.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and manage relationships across the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety regulations and company policies.
• Document and resolve quality concerns and contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• 5–15+ years delivering fit‑out or refurbishment projects for 2nd, 3rd or top‑tier contractors.
• Proven leadership ability with strong team‑building and motivational skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent financial reporting, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using construction software such as Jobpac, Procore and Asta Powerproject (or similar).
