Project Manager - Commercial Construction

About the role

An award-winning national commercial construction contractor, recruiting through ROUSSOS Recruitment, is appointing a Project Manager to its South Australian team. The role covers projects valued between $5M and $30M+, in education, civic, health and aged care sectors, reporting directly to the State Manager and supported by a project team including a Site Manager, Contract Administrator, Project Administrator, Project Coordinator and HSE Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and design coordination through to construction and handover
• Coordinate clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
• Oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement and construction methodologies
• Monitor quality, commercial performance and programme milestones
• Identify risks and implement solutions to keep delivery on track
• Ensure compliance with building legislation, safety requirements, quality standards and contractual obligations
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
• Support and motivate project team members

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience delivering commercial construction projects in the Adelaide market, ideally valued from $5M across multiple sectors
• Experience managing projects of this size, with exposure to contracts administration and project financials
• Confident leadership and excellent communication, organisation and time management

Required skills

• Project planning, programming, procurement and cost management
• Contracts administration and understanding of project financials
• Sound knowledge of the Adelaide building market
