Project Manager - Civil Construction

About the role

Unyte, a construction company delivering projects across the country as a principal contractor and supporting partner, is hiring a Project Manager. You will oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction projects, from pre-planning through to completion, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery on time and within budget. You will coordinate resources, lead and support project teams, manage stakeholders and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, resourcing, budgeting and reporting.
• Manage tender support activities such as methodology, staging and traffic planning, risk and opportunity identification, and handover to delivery teams.
• Coordinate plant, assets and personnel to keep projects productive, compliant and on program.
• Drive program management through look-ahead planning, procurement scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
• Own commercial outcomes and HSEQ performance, including cost tracking, procurement compliance, quality assurance, risk management and safety leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience managing civil construction projects, with a track record on complex, large-scale work.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Scheduling, budgeting and resource management.
• Contractor and supplier coordination.
• Project management tools and MS Office; Microsoft Project experience is advantageous.
