Project Manager – Capital Projects

About the role

CBH Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of discrete capital projects across its operational zones in Western Australia. Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, you will manage projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with CBH’s governance, cost, and schedule expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of capital projects in line with CBH’s Project Management Framework and safety standards.
• Develop detailed scopes, project plans, business cases, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical, planning, and execution support across design, contract administration, commissioning, asset integration, and close‑out.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and suppliers while maintaining strong safety performance and value for money.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and dependencies throughout the lifecycle.
• Support cost estimating, forecasting, schedule management, and reporting in collaboration with Project Controls.
• Lead, coach, and support team members and external partners to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management.
• Proven experience delivering capital projects within an owner’s team, EPCM, or large contractor environment.
• Strong capability in project planning, cost estimating, scheduling and risk management.
• Knowledge of contracts and procurement strategies across commercial models.
• Experience on civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical projects.
• Ability to travel regularly as required by the project.
