Project Leader - Retail & Commercial Architecture

About the role

Cottee Parker Architects is looking for an experienced Project Leader for its retail and commercial practice. You will lead teams, coordinate with clients and manage consultants, and drive design and documentation through all project phases. You will work closely with a Project Director and take full ownership of project outcomes, quality and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across design, documentation and delivery.
• Manage and coordinate large-scale retail and commercial projects.
• Oversee consultant coordination and project quality from concept to construction.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients.
• Administer contracts, track budgets and manage project timelines.
• Maintain high Revit/BIM standards across the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve project documentation to meet quality and compliance benchmarks.

Required profile

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in architecture or project management roles.
• Proven leadership in delivering complex multi-residential and commercial projects.
• Solid knowledge of local building codes, BCA and contract administration.
• Ability to inspire and mentor teams while keeping projects on track and on budget.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client-facing confidence.
• Architectural registration in Australia (or working towards it).
• Must be a permanent resident of Australia.

Required skills

• High-level proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
• Proficiency in project delivery systems.
