Project Engineering Manager – Nuclear Engineering

About the role

ASC is seeking a Project Engineering Manager – Nuclear to lead and mentor engineers, support critical engineering and maintenance activities, and help build a world‑class engineering function for submarine sustainment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Nuclear Engineering and leadership team in delivering and improving the Nuclear Engineering Department.
• Provide expert engineering advice for submarine maintenance and repair, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory, quality and procedural requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver nuclear engineering activities during Submarine Maintenance Periods within SRF‑W.
• Lead, mentor and develop nuclear engineering and nuclear material specialist personnel, driving capability uplift and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or an equivalent recognised engineering discipline.
• Experience in engineering functions supporting complex sustainment or operational programs.
• Demonstrated application of project management techniques on engineering projects.
• Understanding of engineering governance, assurance and quality systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, program and business stakeholders.
