Project Engineer – Materials Handling & Mine Infrastructure

About the role

A leading global resources company, with operations across Australia and internationally in iron ore, copper, metallurgical coal and other commodities, is hiring Project Engineers in Adelaide. The role supports the Materials Handling and Mine Infrastructure workstream on major mining projects delivered under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) model, working closely with the EPCM contractor, technical specialists and delivery partners.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate assurance activities and engage relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders
• Track actions to closure and escalate significant technical risks
• Report assurance status throughout the project

Required profile

• 5 years or more of experience in mining projects, preferably within an Owner's team or EPCM environment
• Experience in materials handling and mine infrastructure projects is highly regarded

What we offer

• Casual position paid $110 per hour
• Monday to Friday schedule with ad hoc site travel
• 6-month duration with potential to extend to 12 months
