Project Engineer

About the role

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Engineer to join an exciting commercial construction project in Murray Bridge. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality building works while upholding the company’s safety, quality and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively drive safety policies and ensure compliance with OH&S legislation.
• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to align with plans, designs and specifications.
• Interpret designs for implementation and contribute to design improvements.
• Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders.
• Assist with preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
• Monitor construction progress against the programme and report to the site or project manager.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings.

Required profile

• Degree/Diploma in building/construction or a recognised tertiary/trade qualification.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities at all business levels.
• Ability to operate autonomously, using initiative, sound reasoning and decision‑making skills.
• Proven capability to deliver results in high‑pressure environments.
• Professional, mature work ethic with logical problem‑solving skills.
