Project Engineer (Electrical)

About the role

McMahon Services is looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join its Engineering & Projects team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical and multidisciplinary projects across mining, water, oil and gas, industrial and general construction. The role suits an engineer with 2-5 years' experience who enjoys project delivery and technical problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical projects
• Provide technical engineering input and support across project activities
• Assist with design reviews, electrical installation and commissioning
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel
• Support procurement, project scheduling and resource coordination
• Monitor project progress, costs, reporting and key milestones
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Identify project risks and help develop practical solutions
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Work with clients, consultants and project teams to deliver successful outcomes

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 2-5 years' experience in a Project Engineer or similar engineering role
• Experience delivering electrical, industrial or multidisciplinary projects
• Good understanding of electrical systems, installation and commissioning
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and electrical compliance requirements
• Willingness to travel for project requirements when needed
