Project Engineer – Electrical

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer – Electrical, based on the Gold Coast, to lead the design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical and integrated station systems for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. You will report to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical and coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces in a live rail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage electrical, communications and mechanical designs.
• Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments and workshops.
• Resolve design clashes through RFIs and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee subcontractors delivering HV/LV, telecoms and mechanical packages.
• Coordinate interfaces between station systems and live rail assets.
• Manage quality records, commissioning activities and asset handover.
• Support forecasting, cost control and programme reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering major rail, transport or station projects.
• Track record managing multidisciplinary services packages.
• Membership of Engineers Australia or progress to Chartered status.
• Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) accreditation or ability to obtain.
