Project Engineer – Civil

About the role

Join a fast‑growing South Australian civil contractor and work on a variety of infrastructure, structural concrete and landscaping projects. You will be part of a supportive team that values development and offers a clear pathway toward senior engineering and project‑management roles.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage engineering activities across project programmes and key milestones.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical and engineering support to site teams and ensure compliance with design, quality and safety standards.
• Prepare work method statements, inspection‑test plans (ITPs) and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction or infrastructure.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach to site challenges.
• Ambition to progress toward senior engineering and project‑management positions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of civil infrastructure project delivery processes.
• Experience with quality assurance (QA) and workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures.
• Ability to develop work method statements and inspection‑test plans (ITPs).
