Project Engineer – Civil Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join Gulf Civil’s pre‑contracts team in Brisbane and support civil construction projects across Queensland. The role offers a blend of office‑based planning and on‑site delivery, allowing you to see projects through from tender handover to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pre‑contracts and tender teams with methodology development, programming input and technical reviews.
• Support project planning, procurement and early‑works activities.
• Work on live projects covering roads, bulk earthworks, drainage and civil services.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Contribute to cost control, variations and regular reporting.
• Rotate between the Brisbane office and project sites as required.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer in civil construction.
• Exposure to roads, earthworks, drainage or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work both in an office environment and on remote sites.
• Willingness to travel regionally when needed.
