Project Controls Manager – Defence & Infrastructure

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead controls functions across major defence projects in Adelaide. You will work closely with defence clients and senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery from initiation to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve cost control, planning, scheduling, risk management, reporting and governance.
• Partner with clients to develop strategies that enhance project and programme outcomes.
• Oversee financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and variance analysis.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing project services teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in project controls or project management on large, complex infrastructure or defence projects.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for AGSVA Baseline security clearance (or UKSV clearance for British citizens).
• Professional certification such as PMP or CCP is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
