Project Architect – Lead Large-Scale Public Sector Projects

About the role

This position offers long‑term security with confirmed project work for the next five years, a flat 38‑hour week and flexible start and finish times. You will take full ownership of large‑scale public sector, civic and defence projects from concept through to delivery, shaping Queensland’s built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑million‑dollar projects, making key design and technical decisions.
• Drive design development, development application (DA) submissions, tender documentation, RFI responses and site visits.
• Coordinate consultants, manage stakeholder engagement and liaise directly with clients.
• Oversee quality assurance processes for project documentation.
• Guide a team of graduates and technicians, providing mentorship and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Solid experience delivering projects in Australia from DA through to handover.
• Strong ambition, drive and ability to thrive in a collaborative studio.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to lead meetings.
