Project Architect

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Project Architect to take ownership of the technical delivery of commercial projects in our growing Design & Construct business. You will work directly with the Operations & Construction Director, influencing project outcomes from design development through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development, technical documentation and delivery across commercial projects.
• Produce and oversee high‑quality AutoCAD documentation, detailing, schedules and drawing packages.
• Coordinate building surveyors, services engineers, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Review documentation to identify clashes, compliance gaps and buildability issues before they reach site.
• Work closely with Project Managers and construction teams to resolve RFIs, shop drawings, technical queries and site issues.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of post‑graduate architectural experience, preferably in commercial architecture, interiors or fit‑out projects.
• Strong design development, documentation and technical detailing capabilities.
• Proven experience coordinating consultants and managing construction‑phase documentation.
• Understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and commercial building compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite.
