Project and Design Manager – Water

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Project and Design Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Perth. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver planning, design, construction, and commissioning outcomes that benefit communities and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of water and wastewater projects across all lifecycle stages.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams on capital and utility projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Control scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to achieve high‑quality results for clients and communities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 7+ years of experience in the water or resources sector, delivering infrastructure or brownfield projects.
• Experience in consultancy or client‑side environments is preferred.
• Proven project management experience across one or more project lifecycle stages.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strategic thinking with a proactive, team‑oriented approach.
