Program Manager (Contract)

About the role

Sentral, a payments company, is looking for an experienced Program Manager on a contract basis to join its growing team. You will lead strategic cross-functional programs that shape the future of education technology and digital experiences for schools, parents, teachers, administrators and multi-school organisations. The role works with teams across different geographies and time zones, so contact may be needed outside regular hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, governance and delivery of strategic cross-functional programs aligned to business objectives, product roadmap and customer commitments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Client Services and Commercial teams to coordinate milestones, manage dependencies and drive results across workstreams.
• Set up and maintain program governance, including risk management, resource planning, stakeholder communication, status reporting and executive updates.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery methods, processes and program management practices.
• Monitor program performance against key metrics and implement mitigation strategies.
• Work with teams across different time zones and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 8+ years in Program Management, Project Management or Delivery Leadership in software, SaaS, technology or digital product environments.
• Experience managing large, complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence skills, including with senior leadership.
• Proven ability to set up governance frameworks, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver on time and budget.
• Bonus: EdTech, SaaS, fintech or payments experience; government agency experience; business transformation, product modernisation, cloud migration or enterprise software implementation experience.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps and related platforms.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, SAFe or Certified ScrumMaster are a bonus.
