IT Audit / Technology Assurance Manager

About the role

Protiviti, a global business consulting firm offering advisory, risk and assurance services, is hiring an IT Audit / Technology Assurance Manager in Sydney. As a key member of the IT Audit and Technology Assurance team, the manager owns the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent engagements, keeping them well resourced and coordinated.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engagements, acting as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving conflicts
• Oversee a portfolio of IT audit and technology assurance engagements so deliverables meet Protiviti's quality and methodology standards
• Review working papers and draft reports, and ensure procedures and findings meet quality standards
• Manage engagement economics: budgets, work-in-progress monitoring, billing and client margins
• Identify new client and market trends, and lead the end-to-end proposal development lifecycle
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as community working groups, training, outreach programs and go-to-market strategies

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in technology assurance, IT audit, technology risk or internal audit
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering assurance engagements in a professional services environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Audit or a related field
• CISA certification is mandatory; CRISC, CISM or CISSP are a significant plus
• Willingness to travel to client sites locally and nationally

Required skills

• Experience delivering assurance engagements such as cybersecurity reviews, data governance and privacy reviews, ITGC, gen AI and third-party risk management
• Strong understanding of COBIT, NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
• Experience with data analytics and technology enablement tools such as Alteryx, SQL and generative AI is highly valued
