Product Support Advisor (PSA) - Karratha

About the role

Cummins is recruiting a Product Support Advisor (PSA) to support Rio Tinto at its Robe Valley Operations, which includes the Mesa A and Pannawonica mine sites about 160 km south of Karratha. The HHP product fleet consists of Komatsu 830E haul trucks, Komatsu WA1200 loaders, Hitachi EX3600 diggers and drills. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a FIFO (Perth) position on an 8:6 back-to-back roster.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application support and maintenance advice for all equipment powered by Cummins engines.
• Act as subject matter expert and give on-the-job training to the principal's maintenance personnel, including coaching maintainers in routine maintenance and diagnostics.
• Assist the Principal in supervising equipment servicing and plan, arrange and supervise work under site contracts, including warranty work and major component changes.
• Ensure minimum downtime on Cummins-powered machinery, conduct regular engine inspections, report early faults and schedule work with maintenance planners.
• Help interpret parts and resolve parts sourcing issues, and follow the Principal's service schedules.
• Drive product improvement initiatives, influence maintainers with current Cummins recommendations and, on the Principal's approval, complete product improvements.
• Provide condition reports on each serviced unit.

Required profile

• 2 years of post-trade experience and 2 years working on Cummins HHP engines.
• Diesel trade qualification and onsite mining experience.
• Personal commitment to HSE and a strong safety culture.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team-building approach, problem-solving ability and autonomy; mature, organised and methodical.
• Movex competency preferred but not essential.
