Product Manager, Flare

About the role

Flare, a leading provider of advanced benefits and onboarding solutions backed by MYOB and serving over one million employees nationally, is looking for a curious, commercially minded and outcome-focused Product Manager. You will work in a cross-functional squad with engineering and design, partnering with commercial, partnerships, operations and compliance teams, and help shape products used by more than one million employees across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and backlog for your product area, aligned to Flare's strategy and focused on measurable customer outcomes, business growth and commercial impact.
• Lead discovery through customer conversations, support insights, data and research, turning them into clear problems, priorities and success measures.
• Partner with engineers and designers to deliver simple solutions that create customer and business value.
• Manage delivery details, from backlog refinement and technical trade-offs through to launch and post-release measurement.
• Think in systems, connecting customer needs, business goals and technical constraints across the product ecosystem.
• Build stakeholder alignment and use AI tools to speed up discovery, analysis, documentation and decision-making.

Required profile

• Experience in Product Management or a related discipline such as Business Analysis, Product Ownership or Product Operations; impact and product thinking matter more than title or years of experience.
• Ability to uncover customer insights and use data to make evidence-based decisions.
• Comfortable engaging with engineers and understanding how systems fit together.
• Clear communicator who builds relationships and brings people together around a shared direction.
• Pragmatic, adaptable and able to make sensible trade-offs in ambiguous situations.
• Growth mindset, open to feedback and to learning in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in HR, payroll, employee benefits, lending or fintech is advantageous but not essential.
