Job description
About the role
The NSW SES is looking for a Product Management Coordinator (Clerk Grade 7/8) to join its Digital Delivery function, which helps shape digital products supporting more than 11,000 volunteers in emergency response across NSW. This is a greenfield, newly created position within a volunteer-based agency, combining product management, business analysis, service design and change management. It is a full-time temporary role until June 2028, based in Wollongong or Rhodes, with flexible working.
Key responsibilities
- Translate complex business challenges into practical, user-focused digital solutions for emergency response.
- Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to solution design, testing and implementation.
- Work with frontline volunteers, operational leaders, technical specialists and external delivery partners to understand user needs and improve processes.
- Facilitate workshops, map business processes, develop user stories, create wireframes or prototypes and help with testing and implementation.
Required profile
- Experience in business analysis, product management, service design or a related discipline, able to turn findings into clear, actionable requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, working with users, senior stakeholders, technical teams and partners.
- Analytical, improvement-focused mindset, comfortable questioning existing processes and recommending balanced solutions.
- Organised and proactive, able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with digital products, agile delivery or human-centred design is highly regarded; emergency management experience is not essential.
What we offer
- 35-hour week with a hybrid environment, office and home working.
- Salary of $116,981 to $129,492 plus 12% superannuation and leave loading.
- Leave entitlements including parental, sick, flex and recreation leave.
- Mental health and wellbeing programs, LinkedIn Learning, Member Assist counselling support and immunisation program.
Applicants submit a delivery portfolio and a resume of no more than four pages by 17 November 2026; interviews are expected in late December 2026.
