Product Communications Manager

About the role

Canva is looking for a Product Communications Manager to shape and amplify the story behind its suite of design products. Based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, you will partner with product, marketing and data teams to turn product insights into compelling narratives that reach media, customers and internal audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a year‑round product storytelling strategy, identifying angles that showcase Canva’s product breadth and user impact.
• Build platforms for product leaders to share expertise through media opportunities, speaking engagements and industry participation.
• Lead global product reviews, rankings and awards programmes to secure external recognition.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to keep product messaging clear, consistent and aligned with Canva’s overall narrative.
• Partner with data teams to translate trends, adoption milestones and user behaviours into news‑worthy stories.
• Support major product launches and announcements across earned and owned channels, coordinating with product and marketing teams for high‑impact moments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product, consumer technology or technology communications with a track record of securing coverage in leading outlets.
• Passion for great products and storytelling, able to uncover newsworthy angles.
• Strong collaboration skills, comfortable working with product, marketing and data partners.
• Ability to manage multiple narratives and maintain consistency across global channels.
