Product Communications Manager (12 Month Fixed Term)

About the role

Canva is looking for a Product Communications Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to shape and amplify the narrative around its product portfolio. Based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, you will partner with product leaders, marketing, and data teams to turn product insights into compelling stories that reach media, customers and the broader market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a year‑round product storytelling strategy, identifying angles that showcase Canva’s products and the problems they solve.
• Create platforms for product leaders to share expertise through media opportunities, speaking engagements and industry participation.
• Lead global product reviews, rankings and awards programmes to gain external recognition.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to refine product messaging, positioning and overall narrative.
• Work with data teams to translate trends, adoption milestones and user behaviours into narrative assets.
• Support major product launches and announcements across earned and owned channels, ensuring coordinated high‑impact communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product, consumer technology or technology communications, with a track record of securing coverage in leading outlets.
• Passion for great products and storytelling, able to uncover newsworthy angles.
• Strong partnership skills, working closely with product, marketing and data teams.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and adapt to a fast‑moving environment.
