Procurement Specialist

About the role

Mondelēz International, a global snack company with brands such as Oreo, Cadbury, Philadelphia, Ritz and Toblerone, is hiring a Procurement Specialist in Melbourne. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role acts as the single point of contact for procurement across several internal business units including Marketing, Sales, HR and IT. It is a hybrid position: 60% of the week is spent at the South Melbourne head office.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily interactions with commercial teams, plants, sourcing teams and suppliers
• Deliver service-level targets by ensuring supply continuity and managing supplier relationships to solve issues and drive value
• Support the execution of sourcing projects
• Provide local input to and own the implementation of global and regional procurement strategies
• Execute contracting activities in line with global and regional direction
• Drive source-to-pay process compliance across the stakeholder base

Required profile

• Procurement experience, ideally in an FMCG environment
• Tertiary education in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Finance
• Proactive communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders
• Analytical problem-solving ability and the ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities
• Willingness and ability to learn

Required skills

• Fluent SAP (or similar)
• Knowledge of procurement processes and contracting
