Procurement Specialist - Defence Supply Chain

About the role

Collins Aerospace, a global leader in defence technology, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join its local Supply Chain team in Lane Cove, NSW. Reporting to the Associate Director Supply Chain (Mission Systems), the role takes ownership of a key part of the supply chain and works closely with international team members. The position is onsite, with parking available at Lane Cove West.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions through to purchase orders and onboard suppliers into the system (e.g. ARIBA)
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders so that goods, services and subcontractor development projects are delivered on time and in full
• Sourcing materials and services while reviewing market pricing structures
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders to prioritise work in a time-sensitive environment
• Analyse root causes to resolve issues and support continuous improvement, and report against objectives and KPIs
• Model company values and comply with policies, procedures and governance requirements

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a procurement/purchasing-to-pay environment
• High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously or collaboratively
• Previous experience in government, defence or aerospace is desirable but not essential
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 standing)
• Eligibility to comply with US ITAR technology access requirements

Required skills

• Navigating SAP for purchasing and reporting
• Working in ARIBA or a comparable system is highly desirable
• Commercial acumen and negotiation of terms and agreements
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a complex environment
